Agriculture - 5G&Me

Envoy and Razmus Media collaborated on the Agriculture project to develop an immersive and interactive farm simulation highlighting the transformative potential of T-Mobile's 5G technologies in agriculture. The simulation features a control mechanism where users can wave their hands near physical plants on the left or right of the screen, enabling them to interact with the virtual environment.

The simulation includes ground sensors embedded in the plants that monitor real-time metrics such as Ph balance and moisture. These metrics are then displayed within the Unreal Engine experience, providing users with valuable insights into the health and condition of the crops.

Advanced technologies are showcased within the simulation, including AI-driven drones for field monitoring, AI-driven apple picking and tree maintenance, livestock monitoring with real-time alerts, and an AI-driven tractor for field cultivation. These elements demonstrate how T-Mobile's 5G technologies can revolutionize farming practices and increase productivity.

To enhance the presentation, a content management system (CMS) is implemented, allowing for dynamic content customization tailored to the guests' specific needs. Additionally, multiple API integrations enable a personalized experience by allowing users to select their avatar, choose their food preferences, and even place a custom (virtual) food order with their name.

Phase Breakdown

  1. Optimizing Performance: Ensuring the smooth performance of the simulation, especially with the inclusion of multiple AI-driven technologies and real-time monitoring systems, required careful optimization to maintain responsiveness and visual quality.
  2. Real-time Data Integration: Integrating ground sensors to monitor real-time metrics and incorporating them into the simulation required seamless integration and synchronization to provide accurate and up-to-date information.
  3. User Interaction: Designing and implementing the control mechanism using hand gestures near the physical plants presented a challenge regarding accuracy and responsiveness, requiring thorough testing and refinement.
  4. AI-driven Technology Implementation: Developing and implementing AI-driven technologies, such as drones, apple pickers, tree maintenance, and an AI-driven tractor, required complex scripting and integration to ensure realistic behavior and functionality within the simulation.
  5. Personalized Experience: Integrating multiple APIs and developing a content management system to enable personalized experiences for presentation guests introduced challenges in terms of data management, ensuring data privacy, and delivering a seamless and tailored experience for each user.
